Insights for the ESG strategy consolidation

The Challenge
Against the background of going public on B3, the search for sustainable development, and the demand for ESG information from customers, it was determined that Viveo needed to increase its expertise on topics related to ESG and climate change and quickly consolidate its activities within this agenda through the following actions: compiling the greenhouse gás inventory, managing waste, water and energy, in addition to responding to reporting programs.
Our Work
Viveo adopted Ecosystem GHG, Water and Waste Inventory modules, which were configured and made ready for use by the WayCarbon team. The organization’s staff also underwent a period of training and awareness raising on ESG and Climate Change. The actions were carried out in a standardized manner across 16 companies of the group simultaneously, among factories, distribution centers and others in Brazil.
Results
Ecosystem accelerated the production of the company’s first two inventories, which were carried out simultaneously and in record time, and enabled greater visibility and standardization of indicators to support decision-making. It also supported Viveo’s submission to the CDP and GRI. Based on the insights from the work, the Company developed several measures to reduce emissions and waste and to adapt the energy mix.
