The Challenge

With the establishment of the goal of neutrality by 2040, which reinforces Embraer’s sustainable position in the market, the company set the challenge of mapping emissions and engaging the value chain of a product to understand the GHG emissions in the production of an E195-E2 model aircraft.

Our Work

Embraer

We assessed the potential impacts on climate change through the development of a tool for calculating the E195-E2 Carbon Footprint, with the support of key suppliers in collecting product supply chain data, which also allowed us to obtain an overview of the maturity of suppliers regarding climate change.

Results

Embraer

The project provided initial information for Embraer to understand and prioritize the actions necessary to reduce the carbon footprint of the E195-E2, considering the processes from raw material extraction to the end of its production, i.e., in an approach commonly known as from “cradle-to-gate”.
