The Carbon Market, Climate Transition, and WayCarbon’s Evolution
The climate and sustainability agenda has reached a new level of global maturity. What was once peripheral is now at the center of capital, strategy, and risk management decisions.
The bra, by consolidating the views of more than 1,300 global leaders, identifies extreme weather events as the primary systemic risk of the coming decade. At the same time, regulatory frameworks such as IFRS S1 and S2 are redefining transparency standards and requiring companies not only to comply but also to demonstrate strategic capability.
It is within this context that WayCarbon evolves.
Since our inception, our work in the carbon market has always been centered on consulting, supporting clients in the structuring, development, and management of projects with technical rigor and a long-term vision. Over the years, we have also structured our own projects, particularly in the context of REDD+ in the Amazon. Following this phase, we decided to close this specific line of work, while maintaining and strengthening our role as an independent strategic partner in the development of carbon projects for third parties.
We remain deeply committed to the carbon market, now even more focused on integrity, technical quality, and aligning interests with our clients.
In this regard, we are proud to contribute to the Federal Government’s efforts to lay the foundations for a regulated carbon market in Brazil — a fundamental step toward the country’s competitive positioning in the new low-carbon economy.
At the same time, we understand that the climate challenge can no longer be addressed in a fragmented manner. Companies need a broad and integrated vision that simultaneously considers risks, opportunities, strategy, and execution.
That is why we have consolidated our decarbonization and climate risk consulting services under a single approach, capable of offering our clients a comprehensive understanding of the impacts and opportunities associated with the climate transition.
This evolution is also reflected in our technological solution: WayCarbon Ecosystem. We will soon launch a new version of the platform, featuring significant advancements in analytical capabilities, operational efficiency, and the use of artificial intelligence, further enhancing the value we deliver to our clients.
In 2026, as we celebrate our 20th anniversary, we reaffirm our commitment to helping companies navigate safely through an increasingly complex environment by connecting strategy, technology, and execution.
We remain guided by the same purpose: to catalyze, on a global scale, a just and resilient transition to a Net Zero economy.
